Junior kindergarten birds

This is the first project I did with a junior kindergarten class (3 and 4 years old!) and I am SO happy with how it turned out.
To do these birds, we did a group draw (I did about 4 or 5 at a time, while the others played.) They drew right away in Sharpie, since you can't be too picky with kids so young.

Then they moved right over to watercolor painting! Since it was my first time with them, I just let them paint however they wanted, with whichever colors. They did a great job!

The next day, I cut them out, and had some of my grade 5 students glue them to colored paper. I'm so proud of the kids for this one!
