Laurel Burch inspired cats - grade 3

The title says it all! These are cat faces inspired by Laurel Burch.There's Laurel Burch lessons all over, but I don't think I've seen one done on black paper with oil pastels. Students were shown this photo:

and the elements of Laurel Burch's cats were discussed (what kind of lines are used, how to color them in, etc.) Students can draw these cats quite easily by beginning with a large W on their paper, then filling in the other details.



Fun fact of the day: In grade 4, I had a Laurel Burch VEST that I often wore!
